
Licensure in Texas
The pursuit for licensure of behavior analysts in Texas began during the 2015 legislative session. The bill passed in the House of Representatives
but did not make it to the Senate floor for a vote before the session ended.

The TxABA PPG spent the interim educating legislators about behavior analysis and garnering additional support.
​
The bill passed both the House and the Senate during the 2017 legislative session.
​
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation will be managing licensure for behavior analysts in Texas. A license will be required to practice behavior analysis in Texas beginning September 1, 2018. More information can be found on our
